With heavy hearts, we share the news of James Peter Carberry’s passing on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the age of 63.

Jim was born in Scotland and moved to Canada with his family when he was just one year old. He proudly became a Canadian citizen in September 2024.

No matter what you called him-James, Jim, Jimmy, Carbz, Dad, or Uncle Jim-he will be remembered for his loyalty, humor, and unwavering support for his loved ones.

Jim had a passion for rugby, hockey, and golf, forming lasting friendships through these activities. He cherished moments spent camping by the water with friends while casting his fishing rod.

His son Dawson (Sara), daughter Megan (Darcy), brother John (Stephanie), nephew Jude and niece Fiona will all miss him dearly. He is also survived by his Aunt Sylvia and cousin David (Judy). He was predeceased by his parents Roberta and James, sister Michele, and Uncle Adam.

A celebration of Jim’s life is set for Saturday, November 29th from 1-5pm at the Brampton Rugby Club (7605 Kennedy Rd S, Brampton). Family members will share their thoughts at 2pm. Everyone is welcome to come together to share memories as they honor Jim’s life.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or in memory of Jim to the Bethell Hospice.
