February 20, 1928 – May 18, 2026

The family of Helen Bemrose is heartbroken to share that she passed away at Pioneer Ridge. She was surrounded by her dear niece and goddaughter, Susan Richards, along with Susan’s husband, Richard. Even at the age of 95, Helen’s mind remained sharp, and thanks to their loving support, she was able to live independently for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; her parents, Stephen Kalik and Mary Shelleski; and her stepfather, Mike Shelleski. Her siblings-brothers Jacob, Mike, John, Steve and sisters Anne, Marge, Stella-along with their spouses also left before her. Helen is survived by her caring nieces Bev Swazey and Jo-Ann Richards as well as many more nieces and nephews including great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. She particularly cherished visits from her great-nephew Mike along with Cindy and great-great-nephew Colton Richards who always made her smile. The family wishes to thank the staff of Plaza 4 at Pioneer Ridge for their wonderful care over the last three years. As per Helen’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family interment will happen later.
