Betty Avril Woodley passed away peacefully at the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital on Saturday, October 22, 2016, at the age of 96. She was the loving wife of the late William. Betty is survived by her children Lawrence (Susan), William (Sharrie), Brian (Leslie), and Allison (Matthew). She was a proud grandmother to Lawren, Alex, Sarah, Turner, William, Garnet, Spencer, Jordan, Taylor, Grace, and Hannah. Betty had a special place in her heart for her great-grandchildren Aiden, Lucas, Myah, and Lia. She is also survived by her only sister Mary Auty from England. The family extends their gratitude to Dr. Lorna Mac Dougall for her dedicated care over many years and to all the caregivers who ensured that her final years were safe and joyful. A funeral service will be held at Fawcett Funeral Home Creemore Chapel on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 12:00 p. m., with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to The Collingwood General and Marine Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
