Update:
The Portage fire department announced on Monday that there were no injuries from the accident that took place last Friday at the Oakville Intersection of the Trans-Canada highway, attributing the incident solely to slippery road conditions.
They also reported responding to another accident at La Salle bridge around 10 a. m. Saturday, located east of Portage on the Trans-Canada, where thankfully no injuries occurred either.
While slippery conditions caused some problems again along Highway No. 1 over Saturday and Sunday, there were no serious incidents involving injuries reported.
