Waterloo regional police are looking into a case where an elderly man had jewellery taken from him on Monday afternoon in Waterloo.
The police report states that the incident occurred in the parking lot of Costco on Erb Street West just after noon.
An elderly man, aged 85, was approached by a man and a woman who started chatting with him. During their conversation, the woman managed to steal a necklace off the victim’s neck. The suspects then drove away in a white SUV.
The victim did not suffer any injuries during this encounter.
