Halton police have taken four individuals into custody and filed numerous charges after looking into a home invasion that occurred in Oakville this past February.
According to officers, around 10 a. m. on Feb. 24, three masked suspects and one with a hammer forced their way into a residence on Settlers Road in Oakville.
The intruders reportedly confronted a woman inside the house and locked her in a closet while they took various items, including designer clothing valued at over $70,000.
Afterward, the suspects allegedly made their escape in a Honda CRV.
The woman who was confined did not suffer any injuries and did not report seeing any firearms during the incident.
Following their investigation, police executed search warrants at residences in Brantford on March 13, leading to the discovery of drugs, firearms, and stolen goods.
The seizure included 4.5 ounces of crack cocaine, 12 ounces of fentanyl, 1kg of cocaine, 120 hydromorphone pills, and 25 ounces of methamphetamine.
Additionally, officers recovered two loaded Glock handguns along with one loaded magazine and several rounds of ammunition.
Investigators also found a stolen Honda CRV in Toronto as well as stolen license plates from Brantford and property linked to the Oakville home invasion from the previous month.

Apart from this case, police charged Dontee Golding, 32 years old from Brantford, with multiple offenses including robbery, breaking and entering, possession of loaded firearms and drugs.
A man aged 30 from Kitchener has also been charged with crimes such as robbery and breaking and entering along with possessing property obtained through crime under $5,000; he faces another charge for possessing property obtained by crime over $5,000.
The detectives charged Teala Talley-Downey of Brantford at age 32 with several offenses involving possession of a loaded firearm, drug possession as well as careless storage of prohibited devices.
Tewodros Neuman from Brantford is facing charges related to trafficking fentanyl and cocaine plus possessing property obtained by crime under $5,000 at age 27.
The four individuals are being held in custody until their bail hearing scheduled for an upcoming date at Milton courthouse.
