Authorities report that two men and two boys have been charged following the kidnapping of a 24-year-old man in Vaughan, Ont., where he was held captive for several days.
According to York Regional Police, the victim was approached in a parking lot near Jane Street and Highway 7 on November 14, when the suspects forced him into a vehicle.
The victim was later released on November 19, suffering only minor injuries, at the intersection of Meadowvale Road and Sheppard Avenue in Toronto.
Police executed search warrants at multiple homes across Toronto, leading to the arrest of four individuals who now face charges.
A 31-year-old man and an 18-year-old man from Toronto are charged with kidnapping for ransom, forcible confinement, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and arson, among other offenses.
Two boys aged 15 are facing charges related to possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence and arson.
Law enforcement believes there may be more suspects still at large and continues their search for them.
