London police are looking for a suspect after a man was taken to the hospital due to a stabbing in the city’s midtown area on Monday.

According to police, officers were dispatched to the 600-block of Dundas Street around 6:20 p. m. after receiving reports about a stabbing and found a man with serious injuries.

Paramedics transported him to the hospital, and police stated that his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The stabbing took place near Dundas and William streets, just west of London police headquarters and close to H. B. Beal Secondary School.

Authorities believe that the suspect did not know the victim. It’s uncertain if there was any interaction between them before the stabbing occurred.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing either a black sweater or jacket, a camouflage t-shirt, a black hat, black shorts, and black shoes.

Police mentioned he might have a tattoo on his right hand and was seen riding a mountain bike.

If anyone has information about this incident, they’re encouraged to reach out to London police or Crime Stoppers.

This event follows closely on the heels of a shooting at a nearby community housing building that resulted in one person suffering serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police indicated they believe that incident was targeted; two individuals have been arrested while two others remain at large.
