Around 12:40 p. m., Kingston Police reported that their team was “currently searching” for Pierre Moore, who was last spotted near Hillview Road and Centre Street, just east of Collins Bay Road and north of Bath Road. At that point, police warned residents in the area bounded by Collins Bay Road to the west, Taylor Kidd Boulevard to the north, and Bayridge Drive to the east to “be on the lookout for this individual,” advising them to call 911 if he was seen.

On the Alertable app, Kingston Police indicated that Moore was no longer believed to be present where the search occurred.

In response to questions from Kingstonist about why Moore is wanted, Constable Anthony Colangeli, Media Relations Officer for Kingston Police, shared that Moore is being sought by the OPP. Colangeli mentioned that “it is believed he has fled the area” where they were searching but emphasized that residents should “still be aware of this individual,” although OPP are “not actively searching the area for him.”

Colangeli noted that it is believed Moore is wanted through OPP’s Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Unit, which monitors individuals considered unlawfully at large (like parole violators or those breaking bail conditions).

According to police reports, Moore is a 49-year-old white male who was last seen wearing a blue shirt. Anyone who spots Moore is advised not to approach him and immediately call 911.

Details about what led to Moore’s conviction or his sentence length remain unclear.
