A 28-year-old resident of Kingston has been taken into custody and charged after an investigation by the Frontenac branch of the Ontario Provincial Police.
This investigation began in December 2025 when the crime unit received tips suggesting that someone might have child sexual abuse and exploitation material.
On January 1, 2026, as part of this inquiry, officers executed a search warrant at a residence in South Frontenac Township, where several electronic devices were confiscated.
Following the investigation, Drake Tavares was arrested and charged on September 23 with possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material.
