A woman has died, according to police, following a hit-and-run incident in Burlington, Ont.
Halton Regional Police Service reported that they responded to the area of Maple Avenue and Richmond Road at approximately 3:45 p. m. on Thursday.
“An adult female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene,” police said.
The woman was declared dead at the scene. As of Friday morning, no arrests had been made, police indicated.
Halton police are currently searching for a dark-coloured sedan that they believe “would have damage to the front of the vehicle.”
