One fortunate lottery player in Ontario might be enjoying an incredible Mother’s Day weekend after winning a massive Lotto Max jackpot of $70 million from Friday night’s draw.

The winning ticket for the May 8, 2026, jackpot was bought somewhere in Brampton, as stated by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.

Apart from this huge jackpot win, several other tickets linked to MAXMILLIONS, MAXPLUS, and ENCORE prizes were sold across Ontario.
A MAXMILLIONS ticket valued at $333,333.40 was sold in Milton.

This prize is shared with two other winning tickets that were sold in Quebec and Western Canada.
Several MAXPLUS tickets worth $100,000 each were also sold throughout the province, including:

Two tickets in the United Counties of Prescott and Russell One ticket in Simcoe County One ticket in Kitchener

Another MAXPLUS prize amounting to $33,333.40 was sold around the Parry Sound and Nipissing area, while another shared $33,333.40 MAXPLUS ticket was purchased in Stoney Creek.

In addition, ENCORE tickets worth $100,000 each were sold in Lucan, the Kawartha Lakes region and Toronto.

Lottery officials are encouraging players to check their tickets right away using the OLG app or at a local lottery retailer.

Since 2009, players of Ontario LOTTO MAX have collectively won over $9.9 billion-including 122 jackpot wins and 1,003 MAXMILLIONS prizes-according to OLG.
