With deep sorrow and heartfelt appreciation for a life well-lived, the family of Geralda De Luca shares the news of her peaceful passing on June 10, 2026, at the age of 90, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was the daughter of the late Antonietta Lepera and Saverio Ventura.
A devoted wife to Antonio De Luca for nearly 67 amazing years, Geralda shared an extraordinary love story that many dream about. Together, they emigrated from Italy and created a wonderful life built on love, faith, hard work, and family. They established a home that became the center for generations to come.
A loving mother to Cesar De Luca, Antonietta (née De Luca) and Robert Yustick, as well as Saverio and Lina De Luca. As a dedicated Nonna, Geralda was cherished by her grandchildren: Christina (David) Pitts, Alicia De Luca, Stephan (Liz) De Luca, Michael (Anna) Mady, Gina (Johnny) Mancia, Geralda (Jacob) Hayes, Domenica (Jordon) Faubert, and Salina (Brandon) De Luca. She also took pride in being a Bisnonna to Nyla and David Pitts; Avery and Atlas De Luca; Matthew Mady; Katherine and Kristopher Mancia; Emersyn; Easton; Finley Hayes; Theo and Hazel Faubert; along with Angelina De Luca-Gattie.
She is fondly remembered by her sisters Maria and Alfredo Laratta as well as Antonietta and Giuseppe Pulice. Her brothers Antonio Ventura and Peppino Ventura also hold dear memories of her. She leaves behind her beloved sister-in-law Teresa Cappelino along with brother-in-law Luigi Cappelino.
She was preceded in death by her sister Maria Minardi along with brother-in-law Saverio Minardi.
Many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends will feel the void she leaves behind.
Nothing made Geralda happier than caring for those around her. Her kitchen was truly the heart of her home-her love infused every dish she prepared for all who entered it. To know her meant experiencing unconditional love where no one ever left hungry.
Her generous nature will be remembered alongside her beautiful smile and unwavering kindness. The profound love she had for her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren shone brightly in everything she did. Building a loving family was both her greatest joy and proudest achievement.
The family expresses their sincere gratitude to Amy’s Helping Hands along with Care Partners as well as the nurses from Bayshore Hospice for their exceptional care during this time. Their compassion exceeded expectations providing comfort not only to Geralda but also to our entire family during these difficult moments. We are eternally thankful.
Eternally missed yet always present in spirit-Geralda’s love endures through the family she cherished deeply while creating countless treasured memories together.
Loved forever-missed deeply-and always remembered.
Ti amo , Moglie , Mamma e Nonna.
