A 48-year-old man has lost his life in a single-vehicle accident in Vaughan.
York Region police report that the incident occurred at the intersection of Weston Road and Rutherford Road around 10:30 p. m. on Saturday.
The man was declared dead at the scene, while a 44-year-old woman was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. They were the only two individuals in the minivan during the crash.
Authorities stated that repairs were needed on the southbound lanes of Weston due to the accident before they could reopen.
