A fire has caused major damage to a hardware store located in Grand Bend.
Lambton Shores Fire and Emergency Services arrived at the RONA store on Highway 21 (Ontario Street South) on Friday afternoon.

Traffic was redirected away from the area near Lake Road.
The fire department urged residents in nearby subdivisions to close their windows and doors and stay inside.

The West Region OPP was also guiding residents of the Lake Road and Pines Parkway areas to take shelter at the Royal Canadian Legion.
As of 7 p. m., Highway 21 is closed between Main Street and Greenway Road.
