A third individual has been linked to a suspicious death that occurred in a park in Perth.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have taken Michael Lewis, 46, of Perth into custody and charged him with conspiracy to commit murder as per the Criminal Code. He is currently being held and was scheduled to appear in court on May 12.
This suspect is one of three individuals police are pursuing in their investigation after an Ottawa man was discovered deceased at Last Duel Park.
On April 12, law enforcement responded around 3:15 p. m. to the park located along the river about 80 kilometres southwest of the nation’s capital. There, they found Christo Allison Richards suffering from life-threatening injuries. The 34-year-old was quickly transported to a trauma center but unfortunately passed away later.
A few days later, authorities charged two people with second-degree murder but reported that both remain at large.
Investigators now believe that one of their suspects, Joseph Madore, 34, may currently be in British Columbia and have indicated he has ties to Richmond, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, and Terrace areas.
The second suspect, Brayton Kennedy, 28, might be traveling with him in B. C. or could still be located within the Ottawa region.
