TORONTO – Toronto police report that a toddler has died after falling from a highrise apartment building in North York.

Officers were dispatched shortly after noon on Sunday to the vicinity of Don Mills Road and Graydon Hall Drive.

According to social media updates, Toronto police confirmed that the child was declared dead at the scene.

The police have not provided additional details, such as the child’s age or gender, stating that their investigation is still ongoing.

This marks the second incident of this nature in just two weeks; previously, a six-year-old girl fell from a bedroom window of another North York apartment building.

The police mentioned via social media at that time that they were responding to an “unknown trouble” in the area.

This report by The Canadian Press was first May 11, 2026.
