GOWAN, MARGARET ANNIE ELIZABETH “MAE” passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at Creedan Valley Nursing Home in Creemore, Ontario, in her 86th year. Mae, the loving wife of Carm Gowan for 47 years, was also predeceased by her husband Oliver Elliott (1958). Mae will be missed dearly by her children Wayne Elliott, Carol Kuri, Chris Elliott, and Kerry (Cathy) Elliott. She is the dear sister of Mabel Gorrill, Dolly Matthews and Olive Moscrop. Mae was a proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren and had 13 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her brother Russell and sister Hazel. Friends are welcome to visit Fawcett Funeral Homes – Creemore Chapel, 182 Mill Street, on Saturday, August 2, 2008 from 12:00 -2:00 p. m. A funeral service will take place at 2:00 p. m. Interment will be at Creemore Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Creemore Tree Committee would be appreciated.
