We’re heartbroken to share the unexpected loss of Alberto “Al” on November 30, 2025, at the age of 64. Al was a loving husband for 34 years to Ruth (Villapando), whose constant support and love meant everything to him. As a proud father, he leaves behind his dear children Canille (Mark), Gabe, Aaron (Coren), and Allen (2025).

Al was born with a strong spirit and an even stronger heart. He is survived by his siblings Corazon (late Bruce) and Crisanto, while his brother Julian has passed before him. His brothers- and sisters-in-law Rodolfo (Irma), Raquel, Rosemarie, Rebecca (Nomie), Rosanna (William), Bernardo, Rina, and Aida (Gerald) will keep his memory alive as well. His nieces and nephews-Fatima, Carlos Joseph, and Christine-and cousin Priscilla (Macwain) will always remember him fondly.

In 2001, Al took the brave step of moving to Canada for better opportunities for his family. His determination and strength defined who he was throughout his life. He worked as a Quality Inspector at Next Star Energy after dedicating time at CSWind and AARP. In 2008, he proudly earned his diploma in Motive Power Technician.

Affectionately called a “mechanic without a license,” Al had an incredible talent for fixing nearly anything. Whether it was cars or household projects or lifting everyone’s spirits with his humor, he approached life with curiosity and joy in his heart. He was brave, hardworking, and reliable-a man who never backed down from challenges with a warm presence that connected him to everyone around him.

Al’s story is filled with love, strength, and laughter. Everyone who knew him will feel the void left by his absence; he’ll live on in the hearts of family and friends forever.

Visitation will take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME – BANWELL CHAPEL, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7235) on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 from 2:00-5:00 p. m. and again from 7:00-9:00 pm., with parish prayers at 4:00 pm. Family and friends are welcome to gather directly at Our Lady of Atonement Parish (2940 Forest Glade Dr.) on Thursday, December 4, 2025 for the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a. m., followed by cremation. Online condolences and shared memories can be submitted through www. windsorchapel. com
