Margaret (Marg) Kiiskila passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 12, 2026, with her family by her side. She has reunited with her husband and partner, Oliver, who she was married to for 24 years and who passed away last year. Margaret was born on February 15, 1945, in Port Arthur, Ontario to Lena and Michael Griff, both of whom also predeceased her. She leaves behind her loving children: son Robert Hanson (Mel) and grandson Drew from Australia; daughter Jolene Hanson and grandchildren Alyssia and Wynter from Barrie, Ontario; along with step-son Mike Kiiskila (Jen) and grandchildren Olivia, Luca, Mia, and Brynley from Medicine Hat, Alberta. Marg dedicated much of her life to caring for others-starting as a hairdresser, then working as a healthcare worker before becoming an associate at Canadian Tire. Family meant the world to Margaret. She shared a close bond with her sisters Sharon and Kathy and brother John who all survive her. Her cheerful personality and genuine interest in others naturally drew people to her. Cremation has taken place. Margaret will be laid to rest next to her beloved Oliver. She expressed a wish for no memorial service to be held, which her family is honoring.
