Easter weekend is here, and while many will be celebrating or stocking up on chocolate, the city is shifting into holiday mode.
Closures, schedule changes, and reduced services will be happening across London.
Here’s what you should expect:
Government services and LCBO
City Hall will be shut from Friday through Monday. There won’t be green bin or garbage collection on Friday, April 3. Collection will move to Monday, April 6. Canada Post won’t deliver or collect mail on Good Friday or Easter Monday. London Transit will offer holiday service on Good Friday but return to regular Saturday and Sunday schedules over the weekend before resuming normal weekday service on Easter Monday. Service Ontario locations are closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday except for the Fanshawe Park and Hyde Park locations which are only closed on Friday. LCBO stores won’t open on Friday or Sunday; some may operate with reduced hours on Monday.Businesses
Masonville Place and White Oaks Mall are closed both Friday and Sunday but will open Saturday and Monday. Covent Garden Market won’t open its doors on Friday, Sunday, or Monday. Grocery store and restaurant hours might differ over the long weekend; it’s best to check ahead before heading out.Recreation and fun
