Bradley Raymond Waite passed away unexpectedly on March 29th, 2026 in a tragic car accident at the age of 73. Brad was born in Toronto, Canada on July 31st, 1952 to H. Raymond and Betty M. Waite. He lived in both Canada and the United Kingdom as well as various cities across the United States.

Despite facing multiple types of cancer, Brad enjoyed a long and successful career in sales. He had many interests, but his two sons, Taylor and Landon, were his biggest joys. You could often find him cheering them on from the sidelines during their sports events or leading Boy Scout troops while whipping up breakfast for everyone on chilly fall mornings. He also loved auto-sports; whether it was adding to his die-cast collection, attending Nascar races, or working on his prized Datsun Z-Cars at First-Friday Block Parties, he always seemed to have some kind of project going on under the hood. Brad had a knack for lighting up any room with laughter. Just last June, he became a grandfather to Ella; their bond was instant and pure love. He would video chat with her daily as she brought so much joy into his life.

Brad is preceded in death by his parents and ex-wife Genie R. Waite. He is survived by his two sons, Taylor R. Waite (wife Jordan S. Waite) and Dr. Landon A. Waite (wife Dr. Meghan R. Waite), along with his granddaughter Ella Grace Waite. His brother Iain Kevin Waite and sister-in-law Françoise also survive him; they live in Paris, France.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Jack Saux, Dr. Nakhle Saba, Dr. Hanah Safa , Emily Ferrara, St. Tammany Home Health team members along with everyone involved in his cancer treatment over the past eight years. They are also grateful to neighbors, friends, and family who supported his sons by ensuring he always had help when they couldn’t be there themselves.

A funeral mass will take place on April 17th at 11:00 am at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Covington, LA followed by burial at St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery in Covington.

In lieu of flowers, please think about making a donation to the St. Tammany Parish Humane Society where Brad adopted his loyal dog Bella and cat Nico.

E. J. Fielding Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with Mr. Waite’s funeral arrangements. His family invites you to share memories and condolences by signing an online guestbook at https://www. ejfieldingfh. com.
