For the second consecutive year, Chief Administrative Officer Marlon Kallideen has led the way with a salary of $381,736.99 and $24,866.17 in taxable benefits, which is an increase from $346,625 in 2024.
The sunshine list for Ontario has been released for 2025, revealing that the highest-paid employee in the City of Brampton earns 8.4 times more than the average resident.
This annual list is by the province and includes all public sector workers who earned $100,000 or more in 2025.
Once again, Marlon Kallideen holds the top position with a salary of $381,736.99 and additional taxable benefits amounting to $24,866.17, up from his previous earnings of $346,625 in 2024.
Kallideen’s pay exceeds the average income in Brampton by over 8.4 times; according to Statistics Canada data from 2021, the average income there stands at $45,400. For women specifically, that figure drops to $40,920 while men average around $50,000.
The runner-up for last year’s highest salary among City employees was Commissioner of Corporate Support Services Alex Milojevic at $334,579.53. Following him was Commissioner of Community Services William Boyes who made $282,431.59 and previously served as Chief of Brampton Fire and Emergency Services.
Both Milojevic and Boyes saw significant raises last year compared to their earnings of $263,338 in 2024-Boyes received a raise of $19,000 while Milojevic’s increased by more than $71,000 according to information from sunshineliststats. com.
Last year Mayor Patrick Brown earned a salary of $154,248.94 along with taxable benefits totaling $20,046.27.
In previous years like 2021 and 2022, it was former city officials who topped those lists.
The former chief administrative officer (CAO) Harry Schlange was on top back in 2021 with a salary of $288,366.60 despite not being employed by Brampton for years. Former CAO David Barrick claimed the highest earnings in 2022 at about $288,272 before he was dismissed from his role that February.
A former Brampton Commissioner of Legislative Services held the title for highest-paid city employee in 2024 with a total compensation package worth $345,122.53 plus taxable benefits amounting to$38,785.24; meanwhile current Commissioner Laura Johnston earned a salary of$245803.35 alongside$20,.31669inbenefitsin2025
