Fatal Collision Near Brampton Claims One Life

One person lost their life in a crash north of Orangeville overnight.

Emergency crews were called to the scene of an accident involving two cars on Highway 10, situated between County Road 10 and County Road 8, in the Town of Mono shortly after midnight on Tuesday, Sept. 29, as reported by the Ontario Provincial Police.

According to the OPP, each vehicle had only one driver.

The driver of one car, a 24-year-old man from Toronto, was declared dead at the scene.

The other driver was taken to a local hospital before being airlifted to a trauma center in Toronto due to injuries sustained in the crash.

Highway 10 was closed between 10 Sideroad and 15 Sideroad but has since reopened.

Members of the OPP Technical Collision Investigation unit arrived to help with the inquiry.

The investigation is still ongoing.
