One person has died after a single-vehicle accident in Tillsonburg, Ont.

Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Oxford detachment, along with paramedic and fire services, responded to the crash on Progress Drive off Highway 3 at around 3:15 p. m. Thursday, where a single vehicle had left the road.

“I’m sad to say, the driver of that vehicle suffered serious life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased on-scene,” said Sergeant Ed Sanchuk.

The OPP’s traffic incident management and enforcement team is looking into what led to the crash, “in an attempt to put the pieces of the puzzle back together,” said Sanchuk.

Anyone who may have information or dashcam footage related to the collision is urged to contact Oxford OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
