Geoffrey Nicholas Griplas, a candidate for mayor in Ottawa, has been charged with making threats and harassment related to social media posts about Doug Ford, the Premier of Ontario, and Mark Sutcliffe, the Mayor of Ottawa.
According to the Kingston Police, they were alerted to “concerning behavior and comments” on Sept. 13.

Griplas was taken into custody on Sept. 15 in Ottawa and faces two counts of criminal harassment and two counts of issuing death threats, along with multiple weapons-related charges.
