The Sarnia Sting have brought on 2026 third round draft pick Brody Brown with a Standard Player Agreement.
The Ontario Hockey League (OHL) shared the news on Monday, just ahead of the new season.
The Wheatley, Ontario native is joining the Sting after an impressive season with Vaughan Kings, where he netted seven goals and added 28 assists in 33 games played.
This six-foot-three forward joins Captain Alessandro Di Iorio, Cole Emerton, and Sarnia’s fourth overall pick Adrian Sgro as fellow former Vaughan King players.
General Manager Dylan Seca mentioned that Brown will spend this upcoming season playing for the Leamington Flyers in the OJHL.
“To get Brody signed is the opportunity to continue to work with him and his development alongside the Leamington Flyers for the season,” said Seca. “He had a very strong camp. He showed us his hockey sense and his playmaking ability. This signing strengthens our 2010-born draft group, and puts us in a great position.”
Brown now becomes part of Sarnia’s 2026 OHL Priority Selection class to officially join the team, aiming to further his growth as he begins this journey with the Sting.
Sarnia kicks off their regular season on September 19 in Sault St. Marie.
Their first home game is scheduled for October 2 when the Greyhounds come to Progressive Auto Sales Arena for a rematch.
