The Sarnia Sting have officially signed Brody Brown, a third round draft pick from 2026, to a Standard Player Agreement.

The Ontario Hockey League (OHL) shared the news on Monday as the new season approaches.

The native of Wheatley, Ontario, joins the Sting after an impressive season with the Vaughan Kings, where he netted seven goals and contributed 28 assists in 33 games played.

This six-foot-three forward will be teaming up with Captain Alessandro Di Iorio, Cole Emerton, and Adrian Sgro, who was selected fourth overall by Sarnia, all of whom are former players from Vaughan Kings.

General Manager Dylan Seca mentioned that Brown will play for the Leamington Flyers in the OJHL during the upcoming season.

“To get Brody signed is the opportunity to continue to work with him and his development alongside the Leamington Flyers for the season,” said Seca. “He had a very strong camp. He showed us his hockey sense and his playmaking ability. This signing strengthens our 2010-born draft group and puts us in a great position.”

Brown is now part of Sarnia’s 2026 OHL Priority Selection class and will focus on furthering his development as he begins this journey with the Sting.

Sarnia will kick off their regular season on September 19 in Sault St. Marie.

Their first home game is scheduled for October 2 when they host the Greyhounds at Progressive Auto Sales Arena for a rematch.

You can catch every game on Big Country 103.9.
