With heavy hearts, we share the news of the peaceful passing of R. Irwin Sinclair, who left us at Windsor Regional Hospital, Met Campus, on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at the age of 82.
He was a loving husband for 61 years to Elva Sinclair (née St. Pierre). A devoted father to Christine Mills, Brian and Sandra Sinclair, and Jeff and Holly Sinclair.
Proud grandfather of Josh (Krysten), Simon, Sam (Bailey), Jack, Emma, Lola Belle, and Mc Lean.
A dear brother to Russell, Mae, Fran (Tom), and Sandra (late Don), he was predeceased by siblings Marion, John (Debbie), and Jean (surviving Ted).
A cherished brother-in-law to Bonnie (Leo), Danny (Carol), and Joey.
Irwin will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A dedicated plumber throughout his life, Irwin took pride in his work and the relationships he developed over the years. He enjoyed spending time with friends playing cards in his euchre group and participating in bowling leagues. He was a proud member of the Moramos Shrine Club as well as Garden Lodge/Harmony Lodge. Additionally, he was part of the United Association of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 527.
Known for being handy around the house, Irwin was always building or fixing things while helping others out. Whether it was a project or just spending time with loved ones, he felt happiest when surrounded by family. He’ll be remembered for his strong work ethic and generous spirit along with his unwavering devotion to those closest to him.
The visitation will take place at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Banwell Chapel (11677 Tecumseh Rd. E., Windsor) on Monday September 14th from 2:00 p. m. to 4:00 p. m., then again from 6:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. The funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday September 15th at 11:00 a. m., followed by cremation. A private interment at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens will occur at a later date.
