Blue Jays Get Good News About Max Scherzer

After finishing their series against the Boston Red Sox, the Toronto Blue Jays will continue their road trip with a matchup against the Washington Nationals starting on Monday.

Toronto currently stands at 48-58 and has some key decisions to make before the MLB trade deadline.

On a positive note, they received encouraging news about starter Max Scherzer, who has been sidelined for around a month and a half due to thumb and back issues.

Max Scherzer Set to Return to Blue Jays Rotation on Monday

According to Blue Jays reporter Keegan Matheson, Max Scherzer is set to start for Toronto on Monday:

“Max Scherzer starts for the #Blue Jays tomorrow in Washington. Big one for him, off a good AAA rehab start, ahead of the Trade Deadline. Spencer Miles to the bullpen for now.”

Once Scherzer returns from injury, there will likely be a corresponding move announced soon.
