A man linked to a homicide at a casino in Pickering, Ontario, was taken into custody last Wednesday in Saskatoon, according to police reports.
The 20-year-old suspect was under a nationwide warrant for his involvement in the shooting death of Michael Ferdinard, age 34, which occurred on October 9, 2023, police stated.

He later succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Toronto. The suspect, who was 17 years old at the time of the incident, was apprehended on the 3000 block of Meadows Parkway, with a loaded handgun in his possession, according to a statement from Saskatoon Police Service.
