This week, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were actively monitoring the roads in Windsor-Essex for impaired drivers.
During their patrols, officers made three arrests on different charges.
The first arrest took place at around 7 p. m. on Saturday, June 6, in Essex. OPP officers stopped a vehicle on the Third Concession Road after receiving a complaint.
A 47-year-old man from Essex is facing charges for driving with an excessive blood-alcohol concentration.
The second arrest occurred in Leamington on Thursday morning when police responded to a report about a suspicious vehicle.
A 29-year-old man from Leamington has been charged with impaired driving and driving with excessive blood-alcohol levels.
Lastly, just before 3 a. m. on Friday, officers conducted a traffic stop on Herring Street in Essex.
A 45-year-old man from Essex is charged with impaired driving and failing to comply with a demand.
These charges are still to be proven in court.
All three individuals had their vehicles impounded for seven days and will have the opportunity to address these charges in a Windsor court scheduled for mid-July.
