A native from midwestern Ontario is set to take on one of television’s toughest challenges.
As per a recent press release from Paramount+, 30-year-old game designer Danny Kilby has been selected for the cast of the 51st season of Survivor. Kilby hails from Mount Forest and currently lives in London, Ontario.
He will be among 21 new castaways vying for the grand prize of $1 million. Alongside him, there’s another Canadian contestant this season, 34-year-old voice actress Ana Sani, who is originally from Richmond Hill, Ontario.
Host and executive producer Jeff Probst shared that Season 51 introduces an exciting new concept known as the “Open Era.” With this fresh format, elements like twists, idols, and advantages from any previous season can pop up unexpectedly at any time.
This landmark season officially premieres on Wednesday, September 23, with a special two-hour launch episode. Fans can watch it on CBS or stream it live and on demand via Paramount+.
