Windsor
In Windsor, city hall offices along with the 311 customer contact centre will not be operating. If residents need urgent municipal assistance for issues like fallen trees, significant road damage, or sewer backups, they can call 519-255-6326. The city mentions that online 311 services and the Windsor 311 mobile app will still be accessible. Residential garbage, recycling, organics, and yard waste collection will go ahead as planned without any holiday interruptions. Commercial waste and recycling collection will also continue as normal, according to the city. The Public Drop-Off Depot and Household Chemical Waste Depot located at Central Avenue and North Service Road E. will not be open.Recreation
The majority of community centres, arenas, indoor pools, fitness centres, day camps, and recreation programs will be closed unless previously arranged by bookings, as stated in a news release from the city. The WFCU Centre’s ice rinks are available for rentals from 8 a. m. to 3 p. m., with a complimentary public skate session from 10 a. m. to noon. Outdoor pools at Atkinson, Central, Lanspeary, Mic Mac, Remington Booster, and Riverside Centennial parks will remain open according to their regular schedules. Splash pads throughout the city will operate from 8 a. m. to 8 p. m. Lanspeary Park swimming pool is among those that will remain open on their regular schedules.
