Two Teens Detained for Stealing RNLI Quad Bike

Two teenage boys have been taken into custody on suspicion of stealing an RNLI quad bike from the promenade in Whitby.

The vehicle was reported missing around 17:20 BST on Saturday, according to a spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police.

After conducting inquiries, the two teens were arrested and later released on conditional bail.

However, the quad bike is still unaccounted for, and investigations are “ongoing to locate and recover the quad bike,” the spokesperson added.

A spokesperson for the RNLI said: “We can confirm that a quad bike was stolen from RNLI Whitby.

“We remain hopeful for its recovery.”
