The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office has announced that the case of 66-year-old Mark Taggerty from Waterloo has been officially closed. Taggerty was last seen on Monday after he left his job at Frazier Industrial on Waterloo-Geneva Road around 9 a. m. Deputies indicated that he was last observed walking eastbound along Route 5 & 20 heading toward the Village of Waterloo. His disappearance had been described by officials as occurring under “suspicious conditions.” The Sheriff’s Office expressed appreciation to various agencies and organizations for their support during the investigation, including Frazier Industries, Waterloo Fire Department, Waterloo Police Department, Seneca Falls Police Department, Seneca County Probation, and the Seneca County Crisis Intervention Team. Authorities also thanked members of the community who provided tips and volunteered their time. Out of respect for Taggerty’s family and friends, no additional information will be disclosed.
