Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) from Huron-Perth conducted a search at a residence in Waterloo as part of a drug trafficking investigation that started around 50 km away.
The investigation led OPP to the city following a traffic stop in North Perth.
During the stop and subsequent search, police uncovered illegal drugs valued at over $3000.
Authorities also confiscated a vehicle along with several weapons.
The person facing charges has not been named, but they are reported to be from Waterloo and are up against multiple charges including unauthorized possession of a weapon and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
This individual is scheduled for their first court appearance on October 19.
