Third Suspect Sought in Vaughan Double Shooting Case

York Regional Police (YRP) have charged two individuals and are on the lookout for a third suspect following a shocking double murder in a Vaughan neighborhood last month.

The incident took place on May 13, just before 5:30 p. m., when officers responded to reports of gunfire near Kaiser Drive and Forest Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered two men outside a residence with multiple gunshot wounds. Sadly, both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

While securing the area, police received another call from Huntington Road and Kirby Road about a blue SUV that had been abandoned and set ablaze. Investigators later confirmed that this vehicle was used by the suspects both before and after the shooting, and it had been reported stolen in Toronto.

The police labeled the shootings as a “targeted incident,” but did not provide further details regarding the circumstances of the two fatalities.

The victims were identified as 49-year-old Pasquale Casciato and 34-year-old Christian Belsito, both residents of Vaughan.

“It’s absolutely shocking to the community here and to anyone who may have heard or seen anything. It’s not often that double homicides occur, especially in broad daylight,” YRP Const. Kevin Nebrija stated on May 13.

Third Suspect Has Connections to GTA

Homicide detectives identified three men believed to have been inside the stolen SUV. This led to coordinated search warrants being executed across three cities on May 28.

At one residence in Toronto, officers seized a loaded firearm along with materials thought to be intended for making explosives; these included a detonator, pipe, bolts, and Tannerite. Additional searches carried out that day in Windsor and Hamilton resulted in finding three more firearms along with an extended magazine.

Michele Moscone, 27, from Toronto, and Glen Mousseau, 55, from Windsor were both arrested during these operations. Moscone faces charges including two counts of first-degree murder, arson causing property damage and firearm-related offences. Mousseau is charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder as well as arson causing property damage among other firearm offences.

A third suspect named Gerard Murray, aged 48 from Windsor is still at large. Authorities indicate he is wanted for his connection to this double homicide case and should be considered dangerous. An arrest warrant has been issued for him.

Murray is known to travel throughout southwestern Ontario between Windsor and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
