Iran chose not to participate in the technical discussions scheduled for Sunday because of recent assaults on its territory and unmet conditions from a memorandum of understanding with the United States, according to an Iranian official speaking on state television.
“For instance, one reason is checking if we have access to the unfrozen funds; if we don’t have access, then this condition hasn’t been met,” Mehdi Fazaeili from the Office of Preservation and Publication of the Works of Iran’s Supreme Leader stated.
Shortly after US President Donald Trump warned he would eliminate the Iranian leadership if they didn’t adhere to the interim agreement aimed at stopping their conflict, Iran launched missiles and drones targeting US military locations in Kuwait and Bahrain.
