To be included in these draws, OINP candidates must currently reside in Canada with a valid work or study permit and have a job offer within the GTA.
The GTA comprises the following Census Divisions: Durham, Peel, Toronto, and York.
Those who gain provincial nominations through OINP can proceed to apply with Immigration Refugees Citizenship Canada(IRCC) for permanent residency thereafter.
Ontario plans suggest implementing consolidated Employer Job Offer stream alongside three fresh provincial immigration routes replacing current classifications however there remains uncertainty regarding timeline launch dates along guidance needed transitioning present applicants moving forward.
Details of the Draw
Ontario’s late-April draw invited candidates through its Foreign Worker and International Student job offer streams. A significant portion (72.2%) of the 997 invitations were granted through the Foreign Worker Stream. For information about minimum scores and number of invitations per draw, see below: Stream Invitations issued Cutoff score Foreign Worker72057 International Student27781 Only profiles created and verified by April 28, 2026, at 11:59 p. m. were considered in these draws; profiles submitted before July 2, 2025, were not taken into account. This draw marks the sixth round of selections this month alone after a recent series held on April 23-where over 2,000 OINP candidates received invitations to apply for provincial nomination. This selection also signifies only the second targeted round for the GTA carried out by OINP this year; the first occurred on March 25. Let’s compare this latest GTA-focused set of draws to the previous one from March 25 that invited 431 candidates: Stream Invitations issued Cutoff score Foreign Worker35561 International Student7690 You can see that the April 30 draw resulted in a much higher number of candidates invited (566 more) but had notably lower cutoff scores compared to the March 25 draw aimed at GTA candidates.
