Two teenagers and an adult lost their lives when an SUV collided with a transport truck at an intersection in Norwich Township, according to Oxford County OPP on Wednesday.
Police shared the ages of those who died less than a day after the accident, which also left two others hospitalized with serious injuries.
While OPP did not disclose the names of the victims, they confirmed that a 13-year-old and a 17-year-old from Tillsonburg, along with a 39-year-old from Cambridge, Ont., were involved.
The adult was driving the SUV, while the teenagers were passengers in the same vehicle, police reported.
As of late Wednesday morning, authorities stated that the two occupants of the SUV taken to hospital remained in critical condition.
The driver of the transport truck did not sustain any injuries.
The investigation into this tragic collision is ongoing. Police are urging local residents and businesses to check their surveillance or dash cam footage for any signs related to the crash or vehicles involved.
