The Town of Tillsonburg has shared its hours and closures for various buildings and programs during the holiday season.

The Town of Tillsonburg has shared its hours and closures for various buildings and programs during the holiday season.

A variety of free skates and swims are offered; residents can check out the full schedule online at tillsonburg. ca/news/2025-holiday-hours. The J. L. Scott Mc Lean Outdoor Rink is also open for the season, available daily from 8 a. m. to 11:00 p. m. (weather permitting). 

The town’s corporate offices at 55 Brock St. and 10 Lisgar Ave. will be open on December 24 from 8 a. m. until noon, then closed from Christmas Day through January 1. Staff will return on January 2 from 8 a. m. until 5 p. m.

The Tillsonburg Community Centre will be open until noon on December 24, closed on December 25, and will reopen on December 27, remaining open until December 30, then closing again at noon on December 31. The facility will be closed on New Year’s Day.

The Annandale Historical Site will close from Dec. 24 to Dec. 27 but will welcome visitors from 1 to 4 p. m. on Dec. 28 and from 9 a. m. to 4 p. m. on Dec.29 and Dec.30. After being closed on Dec.31 and Jan.1, it will reopen Jan.2 from9 a. m. to4 p. m.

The Tillsonburg Cemetery will be open on Dec.24 from7 a. m. to11a. m. and closed both Christmas Day and Boxing Day. The site reopens from7a. m. to3:30 p. m. on Dec29and30, and also opens at7a. m. to11a. mon New Year’s Eve before closingon Jan1. The site is set to reopenon Jan2from7a. mtill3:30 p. m.

The Tillsonburg Transfer Station will keep its regular operating hours throughout the holiday period.

Corporate offices have moved
Tillsonburg’s corporate offices have relocated from51 Brock Streetto the Customer Service Centre (CSC) locatedat10 Lisgar Avenue. Residents can now visit the CSC for all in-person services.
TCC to close Jan.5for backup power testing

The Tillsonburg Community Centrewill closefor part of January5for testingof the facility’sbackup power system. The buildingwill be unavailableto the publicfrom11:30a. mtill2:45 p. m.

“In recent months, the backup power systemhas experiencedtechnical issuesandsince Tillsonburg Community Centreis designatedasanemergency evacuationcentre, it isimportantthat thesystemworks properlywhenthecommunityneedsitmost,” Andrea Greenway, directorofrecreations, culture& parks, saidin arelease.“Thistestingwillhelp staffidentifytheissueandtakethenecessarysteps toensurethesystemisdependable.”

Duringtesting, severalsectionsofthebuildingwilltemporarilylosepower. Recreationprograms scheduledforthisperiodwillbecanceled. Staffwillreachouttoparticipants directlyviaemailwithdetails.

Thebuildingwillreopenforregularoperationsonce testingiscomplete.
