Two individuals who were critically injured last week in a crash in Norwich Township, which took the lives of two teenagers and an adult, have now passed away from their injuries in hospital, provincial police reported on Thursday.

The victims, aged 21 and 46, both from Tillsonburg, were among five people traveling in an SUV on March 31 when it collided with a transport truck at the intersection of Highway 59 and Quaker Street around 3 p. m.

A 13-year-old and a 17-year-old, both from Tillsonburg, along with a 39-year-old resident of Cambridge were declared dead at the scene, while the 21-year-old and 46-year-old were quickly taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

“Those passengers [..] have since succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced deceased,” police said in a brief media statement.

The driver of the transport truck was not physically hurt.

“As a result of the investigation, no charges will be laid, and no further information will be released,” police said.
