SEPTEMBER

FRIDAY NIGHT EUCHRE: Join us for Euchre every Friday night at 7 p. m. at St. John’s Anglican Church Parish Hall, located at the corner of Hwy. 24 S and St. John’s Road in Simcoe. It’s just $5 per person. Refreshments will be provided afterwards. Everyone is welcome to come out for a fun evening.

SIMCOE LEGION: The Simcoe Legion will celebrate Legion Week from September 15-21 with open houses at their branch on West Street in Simcoe. Join us on Thursday, Sept. 19 from 4-8 p. m.; Friday, Sept. 20 from 4-8 p. m.; and Saturday, Sept. 21 from 2-6 p. m.

WATERFORD LEGION: “Sit and Fit” classes are held every Thursday starting at noon for a duration of 45 minutes, hosted by the Alzheimer Society. A Seniors Fall Hoedown will take place on Thursday, Sept. 19 from 2 to 4 p. m., so be sure to call Sharon to reserve your spot! DONNYBROOK FAIR: Celebrating its impressive 165th year! This event takes place at the Walsh fairgrounds located at1258 Turkey Point Road on September 20,21, and22. Enjoy truck and tractor pulls starting at6 p. m., plus karaoke for all ages in the community center beginning at7 p. m. On stage Friday night will be The Atkinson Brothers starting at8 p. m. There are demo derbies both Saturday and Sunday afternoons at2 p. m. Don’t miss Saturday’s car show running from9:30 a. m. to1:30 p. m. Live music will feature Echelon and The Shoeshine Boys starting around7 p. m.
