The 2020 election: Trump kept saying his familiar lie that the 2020 election was “rigged,” this time adding that “it’s been proven to be rigged.” Trump lost fairly to Joe Biden; there is no evidence for Trump’s claim even five-and-a-half years later. Trump also stated about Biden: “Should have never been president. He lost the election in a landslide.” In reality, Biden won with 306 Electoral College votes compared to Trump’s 232 and received over 7 million more votes than him. Trump’s election performance: Trump falsely stated about his performance: “I won it three times.” He won in 2016 and is running again in 2024 but lost in 2020. The 2024 election: Trump called the upcoming election he supposedly won “a great election,” then added “They had a lot of rigging going on there too,” claiming “There were areas that were just rigged. I could see it. In other words, rigged against me.” These assertions lack any foundation as well; while he won legitimately, he also lost some communities and states fairly. Democrats and elections: Trump repeated his falsehood that Democrats “couldn’t win” without cheating and said if they didn’t cheat they couldn’t win because their policies are so bad. This simply isn’t true; Democrats can win elections honestly just like Republicans do. Ballots in California: Repeating a false assertion from May, Trump said, “You know, in California, they mail out 38 – I think 38 million ballots.” He further claimed that “some people get three, four, five ballots,” while “Republicans get oftentimes none.” Both statements are incorrect. California had around 22.6 million registered voters about two weeks before the last presidential election; suggesting there are around 15 million extra ballots distributed is unfounded. Every active registered voter receives a mail-in ballot regardless of party affiliation; although errors happen occasionally due to counties or postal service issues but there’s no basis for claiming there’s an overall anti-Republican bias regarding ballot distribution.Political opponents
Talarico and masking: Regarding James Talarico, Texas’s Democratic Senate candidate (Trump said), “A couple of months ago he’s wearing a mask.” CNN found no proof Talarico was wearing one recently; Republicans criticized him for being seen wearing one during an event back in 2022. He claimed it’s because of him Mc Connell got elected saying he was losing badly before his endorsement turned things around allowing him to easily win along with others. Mc Connell wasn’t ever “losing by a lot” since he’d held that seat since ‘84 without losing it to Democrats since ‘92-he secured victory by nearly twenty points! A single poll taken back in May showed Mc Connell trailing Democratic candidate Amy Mc Grath by only one point but as CNN noted this was the only public poll showing him behind throughout the race! Harris and border visits: Trump asserted former Vice President Kamala Harris “was the border czar” yet “never went there.” However Harris did indeed visit southern borders twice as VP in both 2021 and again in 2024! While you may argue she could’ve done more saying she never visited isn’t accurate!
