Environment Canada reports that meteorologists are monitoring a line of severe thunderstorms likely to cause damage across Southwestern Ontario on Tuesday evening.

A yellow level thunderstorm warning is in effect for areas such as Chatham-Kent, Windsor, Grey, and Bruce County.

A red tornado warning has also been issued for the City of Woodstock and Oxford County.

The national weather service warns that conditions may lead to damaging wind gusts and hail up to the size of a quarter, with local power outages anticipated.

The public should seek immediate shelter if a thunderstorm approaches.

Keep an eye on alerts and forecasts from Environment Canada.
