Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and at least two fire departments from Windsor-Essex were present for a rescue operation on Thursday.

Details are limited, but the OPP West Region shared on X that officers were assisting Lakeshore Fire in a rescue effort at Agris Co-operative Ltd. located on Lions Club Road near County Road 27.

A worker had reportedly gotten trapped inside a structure, and first responders were carefully working to free them.

The OPP announced shortly after 6:30 p. m. on Thursday that the operation had successfully ended.

No updates have been provided regarding the worker’s condition.

Windsor News Today. ca has contacted both the OPP and the Ontario Ministry of Labour for more information but has not yet received a reply.
