A tragic accident on Highway 21 resulted in one person losing their life and another suffering from injuries that have yet to be classified.
According to a news release from South Bruce OPP, emergency responders were dispatched to the site of a head-on collision involving an SUV and a pickup truck just before 5:30 p. m. on March 31.
The driver of the SUV, a 49-year-old man, died from his injuries, while the pickup truck driver was taken to the hospital and later released, as reported by police.
The section of Highway 21 between Bruce Road 40 and Concession 2 was closed for several hours but has since reopened to traffic.
The South Bruce OPP, along with the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team, are looking into the details of this crash.
Authorities are urging anyone who might have security camera footage or dash cam recordings that could show the collision or the vehicles involved to come forward.
