Arrests Made in Pickering Vehicle Theft Case

Arrests Made in Pickering Vehicle Theft Case

Two individuals are facing charges following an investigation into stolen vehicles that uncovered multiple stolen cars in Pickering.

In late December, police received tips about a stolen vehicle thought to be on a residential property in Pickering.

Officers from the West Division Criminal Investigations Branch, Auto Theft Unit, and Community Response Unit executed a search warrant and discovered several stolen and re-vinned vehicles. A man and woman were apprehended without any issues.

Kevin Berry, 50, from Pickering is charged with: Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime for the Purpose of Trafficking Over $5000 x 2.

Shannon Marie Leynes, 44, from Pickering is charged with: Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime for the Purpose of Trafficking Over $5000 x 2.

Both were released on an Undertaking.
