An 87-year-old woman from Carleton Place has passed away in the hospital following a crash on Boxing Day, according to police.
This woman was one of the drivers involved in a two-vehicle accident in Innisville, Ont., located east of Perth, Ont., as stated by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in a news release on Thursday.
The incident occurred shortly after 2:30 p. m. on December 26, and both drivers were taken to the hospital. Sadly, the woman died on New Year’s Day, police reported.
Lanark OPP mentioned that they worked alongside other units and discovered that one vehicle had “pulled onto Highway 7” before colliding with an oncoming vehicle.
The investigation is ongoing, according to police.
